Silks Hair & Beauty
Silks Hair and Beauty are a Bedford beauty salon that specialises in offering a wide range of the most up to date beauty treatments.
They wanted a website to make available details of their range of treatments.
The site should look Modern and Stylish while being as accessible as possible to a wide range of people.
The site was built using valid CSS 2 and XHTML 1.0 Strict with a Javascript Stylesheet Switcher to increase or reduce the text size. We also included a Skip Link to skip over the main content to the navigation.
We ensured that the site follows the guidelines laid down regarding accessibility and that the site works on all modern browsers and platforms and is backwards-compatible on browsers newer than IE 4.0. We also ensured that the site downloads as quickly as possible, with the index page downloading in under 10 seconds on a 56kbps modem.
The site is maintained by the Client and therefore may no longer validate entirely.
