If you’re right at the start of the process and have never had a website or domain name before then perhaps you might find my what do I need page useful as a starting point.
Once you’ve decided upon a package and agreed costs, I’ll send you a copy of my Web Design Agreement which I ask you to read before signing and returning one copy to me. I also require a non-refundable deposit of £100 on most projects before I start.
I’ll also need you to send over your content – text, images, logos etc. Send over your text either in an email or a Word document or similar – it doesn’t have to be the final draft, just a rough outline will do. I can source both images and logos for you at very reasonable cost if you don’t have one or both yourself.
Once I have a copy of the signed contract, your deposit and at least an initial draft of your content I’m able to make a start.
I will build a copy of your site on my own webserver for your approval. Once you’re happy with the site I will transfer it onto your web hosting (if you don’t have any hosting yet then I recommend UK Web Solutions) and ensure it works as expected before submitting it to Google.
At that point the timetable varied depending on which package you’ve chosen. If it’s the Economy package then we’re done and I’ll invoice you for the remaining amount.
If you’ve chosen one of the other packages then I will invoice you at this point but I will also provide you with a user manual for your website and/or pop over to train you in it’s use if you’re in Bedfordshire.
I am at the end of a phone or email and more than happy to help if you get stuck or are unsure of something.
